white painted hair.

i always wanted white hair, like kiki smith. or

i once went blonde in 2005-6, but didn't go so well, because i have too much hair. and not even toner would do it.

but one day i think i want to have long silver hair.

there was this article in the nytimes a few months ago about how older women typically cut away their hair short and often get a perm to keep it in place and so they can 'act their age'. and how it's a way to 'let go' and give in to aging. i really hate that kind of 'society rules'. because somehow growing your hair out is linked to rebellious action. i understand history. but i don't understand why some rules still apply. just let it grow. right?

the track looks so beautiful and it reminds me of my running days.

i try to run whenever i have the chance / energy / time.

i do miss competing in races too. in the hills and stuff. i seem to make alot of excuses to run here and i've learned i'm better at doing things when there's pressure. like, when there is someone infront of me for a whole three laps and i just cut them off in the last 100m it feels really great.


this past spring, i read that book by murkami, 'what i talk about when i talk about running' and as i was reading it i didn't have many things going thru my mind as i would do with other autiobiographies. it was more like 'am i reading about what i talk about when i talk about running?' . i think maybe runners will all feel something similar to that. jun too, i assume.


anyway, i love that everything he is doing i am kind of really truly obsessed with.

i've been documenting the sky during my days at work. sometimes there are no clouds and sometimes it's all clouds. sometimes, like today, will be more interesting.

p.s. i've been 2% obsessed with fades, & i love the fact that this guy had a blonde-pink faded streak in that little bit of his head. mmmm ♥ (dropsnap)

i remember in middle school, my mum wouldn't let me dye my entire hair. she was really particular about my hair because her family comes from a history of hair dressing, and has seen hair get fucked up really bad. somehow, i convinced her to get my tips done.

so in 7th grade, i had blonde tips. like a dip dye. it's a really awesome effect if you do it right.

i kind of want a fade again.

i love hair. i love big hair. i love fake hair. i love messy hair. i love it.

i am especially in awe of katsuya kamo's work. he's a hair stylist that has done junya watanabe and undercover's shows many times. it's soooo avant garde and amazing. i love that it doesn't look perfect in any way. i mean it looks perfect- as in i love it to death. but it's not perfect as in l.a. hollywood glamour perfect. combing your hair is like, so not in. :)
