'let's do things differently'

"I hesitate to say what the industry needs right now. It needs so many things. It needs a greater commitment to craft, I’ll start there. It needs more designers who have something people really want, and less of the other kind of designer. Last week I met with a dozen or so seniors at Parsons and I asked how many planned to work for design companies after graduation rather than start labels of their own. Every hand went up. That’s a start, I thought."
