thank you ntokyot

i can't help but support this film.

apparently the theme song by the beatles (which is super freaking hard to get licensed for films..) was approved partially, mostly , because the guy in charge was a haruki-ist.

I always wondered why none of his books were made into films aside from Tony Takitani (which was a decent film, but not one of my favs). I wonder if it has to do with the depth of characters not translating well into film? Or maybe they're just too long. My favorite is "Kafka on the Shore" and "South of the Border, West of the Sun". What's your favorite book/story?

(Y) Will be great to see it because for once I can see how someone else sees the story in his head.
