another one from the same collection as the previous post. i was just seriously in love with the yarn hair because it looks like raver-candy dreads that was blown out in 100000 mph wind on a bike on a highway.

vintage CdG 1983-4
CdG ss 05, aw 07, aw 09
and couldn't do anything but dance inside when i saw this giraffe print suit by kansai yamamoto.. solegit
fit museum "japan fashion now". highly recommend! ! ! such great pieces and overall exhibition.
my favorite room was the first room, where i smuggled many fotos of vintage cdg, yohji, issey, kansai, nom nom nommmmm. and then had a nice showcase of modern designers as well. (longlive numbernine..). it was truly annoying + hysterical when i was looking at undercover's alice dress from many seasons ago. the dress is covered in cartoonbrains and torn mint colour fabrics.., which was also standing next to his amazing lazer cut out skull dress (seen on rinko kikuchi a few years back.. and a black one bequeathed by daphne guiness).. and where he actually quotes, "cute but scary, beautiful but ugly"), a few girls next to me who are , you know, in their cute not so cute clothing themselves saying
"ew, i would never wear that" "how is that even possible" " i really don't get it , actually it's creepy" "yaaw like way creepy" "i mean i really don't get it"
yeah its really interesting how humans respond so differently to things simple as clothes. er, it's probably not so simple as people think maybe. anyway i guess it's the same thing as i don't get a tan like snookie and respond to her. i don't even hear her. andwear not so cute things. what does cute mean anyway. blabalblah.
it also reminds me of my ex and i mean, he didn't really say anything about the way i dressed but i knew deep down inside he thought i was a maniac. sometimes too "gothic and scary"
well maybe i am gothic and scary. maybe i am not. the power of clothes mmmm;)

at this moment..i am trying to work on a few personal projects. one involving pencil in my hand. another involving making suits. or rather, "suits". i'm very inspired by the way guys have this way or wearing suits... or maybe it is derived from the my love/obsession for gakuran uniforms and that feeling of uniform-ness. nonetheless, i am going to make a few different sort of suits until i get tired of doing so. and i'm thinking of making one in leopard, one in lavender-lilac, one in a floral brocade, one in a tartan. yeah....this also basically reflects my evovling closet which has gone from all shades of black and white to all of the above patterns. colour is a good change.
to get me started on my mini-collections of "suits" (oh , i say suits because i feel sooo not qualified to say it without quotes. i am such an informal dresser) ..this is a recent purchase.
can anyone guess where it's from? the wooden buttons give it away nomnom i'm going to have good dreams when if i wear this to sleep

from takeshi kitano's 2002 film 'dolls'
people say the past is the past and you can never look to the future without , well ,moving on. i especially have very extreme-attachment problems but have gotten better at releasing and storing things in a memory closet. or . perhaps i don't care as much anymore for the convinience of not letting myself be hurt. for days you forget about things because some things are better not to be thinking about. just like miso soup that's been boiling for toooo long, never good (actually, never let miso soup boil). but i cannot help but remember such dark dark moments of my past and think for hours about it. for so long, the only thing i thought about was avoiding these thoughts as they are completely unnecessary to my every day. i feel like my mind is not my own sometimes and forces me to remember sad things. and then after lots of staring out to nothing - thinking-time, you somehow get back to earth again. i think that's what shadows are like. it's something you can't live without. but something you don't have to think about every. single. second. of the day (or else we'd all be mad).
i rarely wear heels. and if i do they are these babies, which i painted white or my miumiu studded clog platforms that i could probably take out soon. i actually scored some awesome yohji platform, geisha-esque sandals from boris the other day. when i say platforms, i don't mean my 2 inch creeper platforms, i mean spice-girls status. fact.
yesterday and today were the final days of yohji store in NY. it was truly a sad-happy day. i had the same excitement i had when CdG and hxm collaborated , where eddie & i waited in the cold, dark, morning before class @ madison ave thinking "this is fashion history we are living through!" anyway, in the morning darius ,zon, and i made our way over to yohji an hour early and was able to (thankfully) beat it to everybody else- quite convinient when your friends work there. when it actually opened i had flashbacks of a barney's warehouse sale. i've somehow managed to find great limi pieces (skirt & vest above) from one of my fav collections! these are staying in my closet- forever. but for now the store can rest in temporary peace. cannot wait for you to be back in the states!
the venue was big, the crowd was fierce, the clothes- love, the music was classic, but the finale kick-off between mr. yamamoto and zidan, was just , i hate this word, genius! perfect way to end a show!
finally, the internet people have uploaded crows zero 2! if you don't know me well already, i am obsessed with these kinds of japanese movies with beautiful japanese boys. and this movie in particular is basically lots of blood and fighting, but i am somehow so attracted to this! oguri shun plays the head of the school gang, and i am dying over his hair. i am also dying over their rival school's uniform. white school uniform?? it's so chic.. directed by takashi miike. not bad.
